QR Scanner 259 – iPhone App

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 August 2026

1 About This App

QR Scanner 259 ("the App", "we") is a QR and barcode scanner for iPhone. It is built so that nothing ever leaves the device. The App has no sign-up, no sign-in, no user identifiers, and it works fully offline.

2 Data We Collect

Nothing. QR Scanner 259 collects no data at all.

3 Camera

The camera is used only to read codes in the live preview on your device. Camera frames are processed on the device by Apple's own scanning framework and are never recorded, saved, or transmitted. The App does not save photos of what you scan.

4 Photos

If you choose to scan a code from a picture in your photo library, that picture is read on the device to find the code and is not copied, stored, or sent anywhere. The App only ever sees the picture you pick.

5 Scan History

Codes you scan are saved to a history list stored only in the App's private storage on this device. History is not synced, backed up to us, or shared with anyone. You can delete any entry by swiping it, and deleting the App removes the history entirely.

6 Links You Open

When you tap a scanned link, iOS hands it to your browser or the relevant app. From that point the site you visit is subject to its own privacy policy, not this one. The App shows you the destination address before you tap so you can decide.

7 Purchases

The one-time unlock is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see your payment details, and the App does not receive or store any information about you from Apple beyond whether the unlock has been purchased on your Apple Account.

8 Changes

If this policy ever changes, the update ships with the next App Store release and the "Last updated" date above changes with it.

TL;DR – The app collects nothing, connects to nothing, and everything you scan stays on your iPhone.
